Are you an experienced and highly organised Administrator? Have you worked within Education or similar or are looking to get in to that field?

I am recruiting for a fantastic opportunity for a Student Services Assistant to join a well established Educational organisation based in Leeds City centre. This fast paced and exciting organisation is looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good customer service background to join their growing team.

Responsibilities include:

To understand the entry requirements and policies and procedures of the organisation and administer the policies in order to advise staff and students accordingly
To Administer the student life cycle from start to end of their studies
Administer the induction and enrolment process for all students
Receiving and recording eligibility documents
Administer the process for students who intermit, transfer and withdraw from the course
Administer the student attendance recording system ensuring that student attendance, absences and class swaps are recorded accurately and the information held is up to date
Provide administrative support to the Learning Support tutors
Administrative process for the delivery of courses
Ensure sufficient stocks of stationery - ordering and replenishing stocks as necessary
Providing an up to date service to students looking for accommodation
Keep up-to-date files of all paperwork
Input and keep records relating to overtime payments for teaching staff, invigilators and visiting lecturers on a monthly basis
Assist with the co-ordination and organisation of the student sports and social programme throughout the year
Deal with general enquiries from students, staff or members of public either in person ensuring prompt and polite response
Participate in training to maintain and update knowledge as required for the post
The job holder may be required to perform other duties as assigned by the manager from time to timeTo be successful in this position you will require:

Must be IT literate (Word, Excel, Databases)
Must have A levels, Level 3 qualification, inc. Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent
Degree or equivalent is desirable
Customer service training is preferable
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience of student records systems is preferable
Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role
Experience of managing and implementing complex administrative processes is essential
Problem solving experience is essential
Experience in a similar role within an educational environment would be desirable
Must be able to work well within a team
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Must be able to deal with high volumes of tasks efficiently
Must have a positive attitude
Must be able to deal calmly with difficult situations
