We are looking for an Application Security Architect to join our Architecture team reporting to the Senior Director of Engineering.In this role, you will work alongside other Architects and Engineers to design secure software solutions using on-prem and cloud infrastructure, review and apply industry best practices for security, mature and promote secure development methodology, and influence security policy and strategy throughout Infoblox. You will also have a hand in the development and implementation of our multi-cloud security architecture.

Youre the ideal candidate if you are an experienced application security architect with a track record of building secure products in a cloud environment.You understand industry best practices for security and can apply them to architecture specifications for both on-prem and cloud-native products. Youre comfortable providing policy and procedure interpretation and clarification, technical information and security guidance to managers, project leads, and application development teams.

What youll do:
  • Provide in-depth security expertise as the Infoblox domain architect in the security space
  • Contribute to product architecture specifications by writing and reviewing security requirements for teams across the company
  • Develop reference security architectures and frameworksincluding requirements, design patterns, and other artifacts
  • Influence company policy and strategy for application and cloud security
  • Participate in product security incident response activities and assist with identifying and driving the resolution
  • Partner with product management and software engineering to drive security into architecture and design
  • Mentor security engineers and software developers on effectively designing and implementing secure products
  • Drive security through globally standardized automation with CI/CD processes
  • Maintain and improve the existing cloud security strategy and application monitoring
  • Evaluate and recommend new and emerging techniques and technologies for building and operating secure applications
What youll bring:
  • 15+ years of experience and background designing and implementing secure applications
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, specifically EC2, IAM, KMS, EMR, S3, VPC, and Lambda
  • Experience with microservice architecture and associated design patterns
  • Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM technologies
  • Ability to translate security requirements implementation into formal written procedures
  • Strong knowledge of OSI Layer 7 Model, network architecture, and network topology
  • Experience in infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) computing models
  • Experience with both virtual and containerized computing environments
  • Experience communicating security risks in business terms that can be clearly understood at all levels of the organization
  • Masters or bachelors in computer science or related field
  • FedRAMP and SOC2 implementation and operation experience
  • DevSecOps expertiseproficiency in concepts and skills required to securely deploy applications

  • Be regarded as the principal security leader throughout the enterprise
  • Have a deep understanding of Infoblox products and their security posture
  • Advocate and promote secure coding practices
