We are seeking energetic, self -motivated, team oriented people to join our hard working and dedicated bakery production team. The ideal candidate for this role excels in a fast paced work environment, can handle multiple tasks and objectives, is a strong communicator and enjoys working closely and effectively with fellow team members. We desire people that care about the details, love a clean, organized and safe work environment. We are looking for people that enjoy working with others to achieve goals and can work independently when required.Must be open to working the night shift (with $2.00/hour night premium paid).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation of assigned duties.
  • Maintain an organized, clean work area and perform all tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
  • Maintain and exceed efficiency standards set for operating area
  • Identify, count, sort and visually inspect bakery items.
  • Accurately record any product analysis data or counts, as required by SQF Food Safety Procedures
  • Related duties as assigned
Safety Responsibility:
  • Use proper LOTO process when required while performing operator or clean up duties
  • Follow plant safety rules and procedures
  • Encourage safe work techniques for all employees (mentor/coach)
  • Perform all duties safely and to use discretion to prevent injuries.
  • Complete annual safety refresher training requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Strong attention to detail and a personal commitment to high quality work
  • Ability to quickly learn new job tasks and flexibility to work in different jobs as needed.
  • Ability to identify and analyze problems and plan solutions. Have an "ownership mindset"
  • Must have reliable attendance to meet employer's attendance standards for 24/7 production facility.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good hand -eye coordination. Possess physical ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in similar production line duties at a large commercial or artisan bakery is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in other similar industrial, manufacturing or a production-line environment is welcomed.
  • Previous experience working with continuous improvement (CI) and/or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is a plus.
  • Previous experience working on a self-directed work team is a plus.
