Our Leading Energy Giant based in Warwick have an exciting opportunity for an accomplished Category Lead with proven Tender and contract management experience to join them ASAP. You will be an integral part of a larger programme of work with focus on bringing offshore wind into the UK.

Location: Base site is Warwick but home/office flexibility is expected (once onsite potentially every other week)

Duration: 6 Months but scope to extend

Rate: Competitive Umbrella Day Rate available.

Interviews: Next week, 1 stage

Key Skills Required:

  • Proven experience of running tenders and contract management - Essential
  • Proven senior level stakeholder management - Essential
  • A background in areas such as offshore survey category mgmt, oil and gas or engineering contracts - Desired
  • Ability to support the development and delivery of compelling category strategies
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with the supply chain & identifying new supply markets
  • Contributing to the delivery and execution of robust fit for purpose contractual agreements

The Role:

The Category Lead is a very hands on position where you will be vital in delivering tendering and contract management expertise on a high-profile programme of work, contract value of £5-£15m.

There is currently a lot of work being done on an offshore programme with the focus being bringing offshore wind into the UK. Due to business needs this programme of work is now required earlier than expected so we need someone with a strong grasp of tendering and contracts to join ASAP to complete those activities.

  • Developing detailed commercial understanding and value opportunities
  • Delivering low-medium complexity end to end strategic sourcing events and supporting high-complexity strategic sourcing events within a portfolio
  • Forming dynamic teams with stakeholders to drive best possible solutions
  • Building collaborative relationships with the supply chain and identifying new supply markets
  • Contributing to the delivery and execution of robust fit for purpose contractual agreements
