The role involves supporting the manufacturing process from job request through to delivery of components.

Duties and responsibilities of the CMM Programmer role - Metrology Lab include:
Maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others in line with MTC Health & Safety processes and procedures.
Executing efficient and effective inspection processes to ensure conformance and on-time delivery to our customers.
Following working processes whilst ensuring route cards and work instructions are followed without deviation.
Train and mentor metrology lab colleagues in industry-standard inspection techniques.
Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
Supporting the manufacturing engineers in creating cost estimates, lead times and route cards.
Responsible for the care of Metrology Lab equipment, including some preventative maintenance
The successful candidate for the role of CMM Programmer - Metrology Lab will have/be:
Required to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences both inside and outside their direct team.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in the use of MS Office.
Willingness to challenge non-compliance to standards, especially where it relates to safety.
Experience of delivering training, feedback and coaching.
The successful candidate must have the required level of technical knowledge with Quindos, PC-DMIS/ Cameo software that will allow them to contribute as a member of the Metrology Lab team.
HNC level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience in any of the following Metrology techniques:
Tactile dimensional measurement e.g. first principles, CMM, Romer arm
Non-contact data capture e.g. XCT, laser scanning, 3D optical scanning (GOM, Alicona, Sensofar S Neox).
Able to deliver internal training on at least one of the above techniques.
Significant industrial inspection experience.
Experience of mentoring and developing future talent in inspection.
