We are currently looking for a Customer Support Advisor to join our successful branch based in our Farnham town centre office. We have been established for over 50 years and are one of an 80 branch network around the UK, providing personal and professional service for all our customers insurance requirements. We offer an annual starting salary of £21k-£25k depending on experience with regular salary reviews along with 22 days ( increasing by 1 day each year after 2 years service up to a maximum of 27 days) holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service, life cover and employee benefits which give discounts at thousands of retailers, plus discounted insurance products. We can also offer study support to gain an industry recognised qualification.

The role would suit candidates with proven customer service and client liaison skills who are PC literate, keen to learn and progress within an insurance based role. You may have gained relevant work experience in an insurance, financial services or similar industry or you may be seeking the opportunity to further your career into an office role having worked within retail, sales or hospitality. We will also consider applications from recent College or University leavers.

As the Customer Support Consultant, you will join a busy and dynamic team, where you will provide a high level of service and professionalism to our customers. This role does not involve any cold calling and is more a reactive consultative sales role, dealing with inbound phone enquiries and general public walk in enquiries.

As the Customer Support Advisor -, you will develop positive, trusting and friendly relationships with clients to make us their first choice for insurance, and to recommend us to their friends and family. The main duties will include:

Taking the appropriate time to understand client s needs

Responding quickly and effectively to requests

Collecting all relevant information positively and with certainty

Providing the right advice in a manner that can be clearly understood

Arranging cover as agreed with the client

Striving to deliver an exceptional level of client care

Doing what we said we would and at the time we agreed with the client

Constructively identifying other insurance requirements to better serve the client

Ensuring you work within FCA guidelines

Constantly identify new ways to raise performance including agreeing a broadening personal self-development plan.

Champion great teamwork by helping others in the branch, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of branch efficiencies and performance, and finding ways to contribute to the smooth running of the branch.

Developing a close working relationship with colleagues located at other branches and understanding the need for specialist branches and when an enquiry should be referred to them.

The successful candidate will ideally be educated to a minimum of A Level standard and will be highly presentable with a professional working attitude. You will enjoy customer services and have a desire to carve a career within the insurance industry. Any insurance/ financial services background is a bonus but not essential as we will provide full training.
