This is a great opportunity to join a very successful Nottingham based software house as a Delphi Developer. They are a specialist developer and supplier of complete EPOS systems including eCommerce and web sites applications which all link into the POS system.
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
The successful candidate is going to develop, implement, optimise and maintain in-house tech-based solutions as well as be responsible for deploying and debugging full application stacks, developing tech solutions for internal teams based on their needs to improve day-to-day operations and improve efficiency.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborating with the Head of IT and internal teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud/tech solutions.
- Modifying and improving existing systems.
- Identifying, analysing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Ensuring efficient functioning of on-premise and cloud processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in system security.
- Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
- Interacting with staff/users, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on staff/users needs.
- Educating internal teams on the implementation of new technologies and initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Computer Science or similar field with at least 3 years experience
- Firm understanding in cloud computing including Azure, AWS & Google Cloud.
- Understanding in various software development methodologies.
- Skilled in object-oriented software development languages such as Python, C++, Delphi, Pascal, Java, Visual Basic
- Ability to run SQL/MYSQL database queries and maintain databases.
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills
