Our client is offering a 4 day working week, summer and Christmas events, challenge events and lots of team socialising to the right candidate! The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Thursday (9am to 5.30pm) with a rota to cover Fridays (another day off given when a Friday is worked).

The overall objective will be to support the commercial aspects of the business whilst operating and maintaining efficient and practical Administrative and Financial procedures.

The job holder should be a responsible individual who is conscientious, has good judgment and works to highest standards of quality and integrity. Someone who takes pride in their work.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with purchase ledger duties using Sage Line 50
  • Check and process contractor expenses using Intime
  • Providing credit control to assist with managing the client debt to ensure maximum cash availability
  • Assist in the creation of weekly/monthly payment runs for authorisation and execution via Barclays Internet Banking
  • Regular production of statements/remittances for clients and customers
  • Raising monthly sales and self bill invoices using a Intime and Sage Line 50 Invoicing module
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance and Admin team
  • Electronic and physical filing of commercial documents
  • Answer and distribute incoming telephone calls

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be familiar with the Windows/MS Office environment, in particular Excel/Word
  • Should demonstrate a clear understanding of the essential administration processes
  • The ability to work as a good team player
  • Fluent in English, the job holder must write and speak clearly and concisely to employees and 3rd parties alike
  • Must be able to communicate with 3rd parties at most levels, from clerk to senior management
  • Experience of successfully supporting business.
  • Building a relationship with the internal team based on trust and the ability to deliver results.
  • Ability to manage others expectations and handle issues to best effect under pressured conditions (e.g. month end).
  • A commercial accounting background is desirable but not essential
