Vulcain was founded in the mid-2000s to specialise in energy and environment projects. Vulcain Engineering Ltd, our UK business, is well positioned within the UK Nuclear industry. We provide the flexibility our clients demand by working at our customers sites in the UK and Europe, as well as carrying out work remotely on their behalf. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of organisational support to key Projects.
The purpose of this role is to develop and maintain the capability of this business area within the company.
Defining, developing and maintaining subject matter capabilities, ensuring that staff are sufficiently trained, informed, equipped and capable of delivering to requirements.
Development and maintenance of the company technical capability
Ensuring consistency in the line management of staff, including their appraisals. Input feedback on performance and development
Assisting the Business Manager s with recruitment
Helping to grow the business by working with the Managing Director and Business Managers to develop new business and new clients
Development of the products and services into "saleable" offerings to our clients, including the development of marketing, training and technical underpinning documentation where appropriate
Preparing bids and proposals in accordance with the company processes
The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate that they have a high level of understanding across the Project Management and Project Controls disciplines.
This role requires excellent communication skills. The person is required to impress clients and build a relationship, so they need to be confident in their communications, with an ability to listen and translate customer needs. The person will be leading consultants, both junior and senior, so they need to have a good communication style that fosters open and honest conversations at all levels.
