What will be keeping you busy?
Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Advisor will provide both operational HR direction and support to the business as well as day-to-day transactional HR support. The HR Advisor will be responsible for the full range of HR operational activities including: supporting the business in the delivery of HR goals, coordination and administration of compensation and benefits cycles in conjunction with the HR Director, supporting the performance management cycle, recruitment programs, training and development, HR systems, liaising with the payroll bureau, supporting organisational and cultural change.
The HR Advisor will provide advice to all employees including but not exclusive of policy and procedures; employee relations; payroll; recruitment; benefits and compensations; diversity, equity and inclusion; operational HR queries. This role will have HR operational responsibility for the UK, India and Australia and the range of HR activities will cut across transactional and operational HR support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop relationships with, and become a trusted advisor to the Management team, line managers and employees.
Understand the needs & challenges of the business and how HR can support & drive these requirements
Provide support, guidance, and coaching to people managers in the development of their leadership and management skills
Work closely with International and local HR teams to ensure operational HR is aligned wherever possible.
Ensure compliance with local employment laws on disciplinary matters, grievances, termination, recruitment, changes to terms & conditions of employment
Advise and coach line managers on dealing with ER issues whilst taking the lead on complex employee relations issues
Maintain strong ER knowledge with experience in dealing with issues promptly and fairly In conjunction with the HR Director, review, improve and develop all policies, processes, systems, and future HR plans to support the business
Lead on salary, benefits and payroll administration
Oversee the collation and submission of monthly and annual payroll changes, working closely with the payroll bureau to action changes. Work with the HR Director and Finance team to ensure correct transmissions
Support the business in the management of annual compensation reviews and of proposals for salary adjustments and bonuses. Use internal and external data to analyse proposals and ensure consistency across the business
Support performance management for the business, ensuring Managers receive support and training in order to improve appraisals and feedback conversations
Lead on recruitment, selection and leavers administration
Work on diverse and inclusive recruitment process improvement enabling effective hiring and induction for new staff
Work in partnership with international and local HR colleagues to ensure that HR tools are delivered and used to a professional standard across the business
Work effectively with international and local colleagues in specialist areas including Resourcing, Systems, DE&I, OD and Reward to assist with the delivery of HR operational objectives.
Support the business in driving retention, motivation and employee engagement
