Position: HR Advisor

Salary: up to £35,000 + Car Allowance

Location: West Midlands (travel required)

Some background information..

Our client is a global giant, operating in the industrial services sector. Due to some positive changes in the HR team and a very successful financial year, they are now looking for an additional team member.

The company continues to grow and there are some big projects planned down the line, which means that it will be the right time for you to join them.

Responsibilities:

This will be a very dynamic, transactional role with exposure to all day-to-day HR matters. You will be the go-to person for a number of managers regarding case management support, advice on policies, procedures, best practice and will be also working on various employee initiatives. You will be expected to travel to some of the sites and ensure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

The cases that you will be involved in as a HR Advisor will be very diverse. One day you can be dealing with a disciplinary in the morning, a capability meeting in the afternoon and the next day, you can be involved in a grievance. In other words, this role will be challenging and rewarding at the same time as it will shape your HR knowledge and improve your confidence when handling complex situations.

In addition, some of your other HR advisory responsibilities will be to develop and deliver training materials for managers in order to upskill and give them the confidence and knowledge to approach situations in the best possible way. You will take control of the absence management process as well as assisting with recruitment and people focused projects.

What are we looking for:

  • CIPD or equivalent professional HR qualification.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Experience in managing ER cases such as disciplinaries, grievances, capability, probation etc.

  • Experience in a multi-site industrial environment (Preferred).

  • In-depth HR and employment law knowledge and a HR Generalist background.

  • Confident communicator and ability to support, coach and advise line managers on a variety of HR matters.

  • A friendly and can-do attitude.
