We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing Comms / PR / Internal Comms professional to join a brilliant food company at their manufacturing site in Barnsley.

This is a brand-new role and an extremely exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Role Purpose

Working as part of the HR team you will be responsible for developing an internal and external communications strategy whilst leading and supporting initiatives which drive colleague engagement including the implementation of CSR projects within our local community.

Key Duties include;

Deliver a variety of quality communications that inform, engage, and support our colleagues utilising different methods of communication channels and new technologies.

Compose and distribute the site monthly newsletter.

Management of internal and external Facebook pages.

Update corridor screens with regular site updates & visitor information using audience appropriate language and translation.

Produce material to promote and raise awareness of staff benefits and site events including video content.

Create presentations, reports and notices using attractive and engaging graphics and design.

Work alongside the IT department to improve onsite digital communications and colleague information sharing.

Research and write clear and informative press releases, articles, website and social media materials to actively raise the sites profile in the local community and across the wider group.

Track and analyse successes and failures of communications campaigns

Lead and support activities relating to embedding our strategic pillars and values.

Design and deliver engagement initiatives and plans to promote and drive a culture of colleague recognition and appreciation and ensure these are effectively communicated with the wider business.

Lead and embed community involvement inline with our "Second Nature" strategy including corporate charity and school partnerships.

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge & experience:

Proven experience in a similar role.

Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness

Understanding of communications, and best practices of social media channels.

Advanced knowledge of MS Office

Proactive in keeping up to date with new relevant technologies.

Creative, innovative and resourceful.

Energy, execution, and accountability in all activities

Flexible to meet business needs.

Ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication and colleague engagement.

Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively.

Ability to multi-task and manage projects.
