You are a hard-working and self-motivated Project Manager, able to manage installation projects and when on site lead a small team of installation engineers, ensuring that all jobs are completed to a high standard. This roles include some hands-on work, based on-site at least once or twice a month.

You will be working with our clients to deliver a completed installation of permanent sound, video and lighting systems into a variety of different venues across the UK. You need experience of installation materials and techniques.

With the ability to span both the disciplines of on-site installation contractor and the AV events industry, you can be flexible around the hours you work in the week.

You will need some experience of project management in the industry as well as a good technical understanding of sound, video and lighting equipment.

When on site you will be leading a team completing the permanent installation of a sound, video or performance lighting system. Supporting the Installations Engineers by commissioning the system and handing over to the client.

The main contact for the client from quote to after installation support, you will be able to see projects from conception to end. Liaising with colleagues, managers and the client to ensure customer satisfaction and the delivery of a reliable system. You will have accountability for the management of the project, any growth and profitability.

You will keep up to date with all necessary health & safety rules for on-site working such as PASMA, IPAF, ECS, CSCS & working at height regulations

Arranging and working with other trades on building sites and adapting schedules to fit in with main contractors and building progress

Working with Install Engineer to carry out maintenance visits (planned and reactive) to fault-find and undertake repairs on client premises

Person Specification:

Excellent project management skills

Knowledge of sound, video and lighting equipment and its operation

Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Good team leadership skills

Self-managing and motivated

Good attention to detail

Good practical skills, e.g. soldering, crimping, hand & power tools

Adaptability and able to transfer knowledge to others

Good communication & organisation skills

Able to work on site moving heavy items around and working at height

Full Driving licence (preferably clean)

Experience of working as an engineer or installing AV equipment (or both!)

Desirable:

Familiarity with the needs and sensitivities of Places of Worship or listed buildings

IPAF, PASMA, ECS, CSCS qualifications
