Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-established, dynamic organisation based in Birmingham that is offering hybrid working. This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving fast-paced environment as a General Insurance Consultant

Summary

Working at the heart of the General Insurance department, you will be responsible for following up leads with clients requiring home and motor insurance.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing tailored advice to deliver new quotations
  • Meeting targets
  • Upselling policies to suit clients needs, promoting features & benefits
  • Consistently and compliantly ensuring the best outcomes for customers
  • Maximising and managing diary of appointments to ensure you re operating at capacity
  • Administering changes to policies - recalculating premiums, working with underwriting, updating payments and liaising with customers
  • Handling both inbound and outbound telephone calls from new and existing customers
  • Dealing with all customer requests and queries in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all customer documents are accurate when sent
  • Taking ownership of any complaints or problems - dealing with or escalating issues
  • Taking ownership of customer enquiries and sales leads
  • Keeping continually up to date with the product, industry knowledge and selling skills

Skills and experience

  • Previous insurance experience preferred not essential
  • Outgoing, confident individual
  • Excellent communication skills and great telephone manner
  • Excellent customer service
  • Target driven and organised

Package and benefits

  • 35 hours, Monday to Friday - 9am -6pm on a rota basis
