Learning Support Assistant
Location: Waford Alderley Edge
Salary: £10.01 to £10.87 per hour
Hours: 9:15 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday (33.5 hours per week)
Contract: Term Time Only
We are working with a modern, forward-thinking charity providing a range of educational, residential and medical services to support adults and young people over the age of 9 with complex needs, including learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism. Due to the expansion of The School and College, we are recruiting Learning Support Assistants to work with students as they start their educational journey. This is a term-time role only and experience is not essential.
You will be required to:
Support learning and development
Encourage independence and choice
Help to build self-esteem
Raise confidence and explore vocational and employment choices
Positive behaviour management
Supporting students with their personal care when required
You will need to have:
Experience is not essential as full training is given,
You will be caring and approachable
Quick to react on your own initiative
A great team player too!
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A driving licence to commute to work is desirable but not essential.
