We are seeking a passionate Learning Support Assistant who is keen to make a positive difference to a Year 3 student. This learning support assistant role will see you working on a 1:1 basis with a child with autism and ADHD.
You will be supporting and encouraging a child who finds it difficult to understand situations from alternative points of view. The child can be extremely rigid with their thoughts therefore this vacancy will require you to be patient, but most importantly be understanding.
This is a 2 form entry school in the centre of Welwyn that provides excellent transport links.

Key responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be to support an Autistic child under direct supervision of teaching staff.
Support the pupils to understand instruction and support for independent learning.
Prepare and create a fun learning environment for your student
Support the pupil in social and emotional well-being.
Encourage social interaction.
