Logistics Excellence Manager - Supply Chain & Logistics - UK Wide - £72,000 - £90,000 paAbout the company Our client is a global manufacturer and supplier within the packaging industry, within their fast-paced Supply Chain and Logistics section a role is available for an experienced Logistics Excellence Manager.Logistics Excellence Manager - The Rewards Salary £72,000 - £90,000 pa Benefits package including - Pension, Life Assurance, Income Protection & Discount SchemesLogistics Excellence Manager - Role OverviewThe role of the Logistics Excellence manager is to work with Group Logistics colleagues, Divisional and Country leads to find and deliver best practices across all Divisions in Process, Operations, Space management and KPI control whilst also delivering high level Global projects as per the Logistics Strategy and sub strategies ensuring the identity of Group Logistics is raised by high ethics, communication and value driven delivery.Logistics Excellence Manager - Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience at the same or similar level & In the Transport, Logistics Industry preferred
  • Experience in leading European/Global operations in Transport and Logistics
  • Evidence of change management delivery and integration
  • Proven delivery portfolio for initiatives driving both operational, cost improvement and process
  • Evidence and delivery of project management skills and delivery and the ability to drive performance
  • Adaptability & Resilient - able to adapt depending on what is presented, changes to the environment or needs of key stakeholders and to continue to push through in times of challenge
  • Solid problem solving, decision making and analytical capability
  • Strong communication and organisational skills

Logistics Excellence Manager - Academic Background

  • Post-Graduate/Master's Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics

Logistics Excellence Manager - Responsibilities

  • Build Networks and Relationships across all Divisions to open up opportunities and value sharing
  • Deliver key projects across all divisions as directed by the Logistics strategy using project methodology
  • Identify good/great practice internally and drive delivery across all areas where appropriate
  • Identify/Research external logistics practices and where appropriate bring opportunity to DS Smith stakeholders for sign off and onward delivery
  • Work with Transformation on KPI collation and management of (internal and supplier) providing support to role out and control the management of service/cost
  • Work with The DSS data centre and SGC experts to substantiate opportunities prior to selling to the stakeholder
  • Work with Divisional Supply Chain to align activity and strategy by Country to deliver a YOY plan of excellence
  • Build and be instrumental in the creation of Logistics Leadership Teams (LLTs) by Region
  • Support and Drive the delivery of Country/Divisional Value plans
