The ideal candidate will have strong NPI/New Product Introduction experience and will be well-versed creating CNC/CADCAM programs. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of CNC Machining and previous experience working within a high precision industry, with metal components.Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
  • Working within the company s engineering department at their state of the art, newly refurbished facility in Leicester
  • Creating CNC/CADCAM Programs for CNC Turning and Milling machines, including 4 & 5 Axis machining centres
  • Manage New Product Introduction/NPI and ensure components are delivered on time and within budget
  • Improve existing manufacturing processes to achieve measured productivity improvements
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure all aspects of engineering projects are completed on time and resolve any process related issues
  • Working directly with suppliers to ensure the latest innovations in fixtures & tooling are employed
  • Producing accurate stage drawings for manufacturing operations
  • Producing detailed documentation, set up packs, SOP s etc
  • Preparation of cost estimates to support the acquisition of new business to include relevant requirements
  • Supporting production with daily problem solving, ensuring permanent solutions are put in place
Manufacturing EngineerEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Extensive experience working within a manufacturing engineering position
  • Well-versed creating CNC/CADCAM programs (ideally for CNC Turning Machines)
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, with a CNC background
  • Experience working within a high-precision industry
  • Accomplished managing NPI/New Product Introduction
Manufacturing EngineerDesirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification (HND, HNC, apprentice trained, time-served etc)
  • Experience within the aerospace industry
  • Experience of APQP/PFMEA
  • Knowledge of heat treatment/coatings processes
