My client is looking for an experienced Materials Handler to join their busy team in Wokingham. The successful individual will be responsible for all material movement activity of scientific instruments including all shipment requirements and stockroom requirements.
Salary: Equivalent of £30000
Location: Wokingham
Hours: 37.5 per week. Although they are looking for someone who has flexibility to work overtime.
The Job:

Daily receipt of all inbound material from couriers and freight carriers

Store/stock material items in stockroom and on production floor

Issue stock replenishment signals to Purchasing, internal suppliers and/or external suppliers

Physical material movement and associated transactions

Daily cycle counts of raw material and finished goods

Confers with shipment coordinator and/or reviews shipment plan to establish daily shipment schedule and future requirements

Shipment preparation including picking, packaging and creation of shipment documentation

Works with internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues associated with quality, delivery, receiving and invoicing.
The Person:

Previous experience of working within an operations team or similar environment

Self motivated, flexible and have the ability to work alone when necessary

Good problem solving skills

Good organisational skills

Good IT skills eg Microsoft Office

Able to lift/carry 24kg as this is a typical weight of an analyser
