This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great company who specialise in providing neurological care for adults of a working age. As the Occupational Therapist you will work collaboratively with the rest of the MDT and be well supported by the Senior OT/Deputy Therapy Service Manager.They are looking for a passionate OT to join their team and share their vision for a more holistic and individualistic approach to care. You will have a background in either neurological rehabilitation, mental health or learning disabilities. Key Responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist:
  • To assess complex patients with a range of diagnoses, identifying, developing and implementing appropriate specialist rehabilitation programmes based on clear clinical reasoning, based on highly specialist knowledge and experience of a range of procedures and conditions underpinned by sound theory and evidence-based practice.
  • Plan and maintain therapeutic interventions that enhance the wellbeing and/or rehabilitation of the clients.
  • Work with internal and external therapists, stakeholders and professionals to collaborate in order to provide the best client centred care.
  • To contribute to the development of the Service as appropriate.
  • To be skilled at assessing and interpreting a range of complex factors relating to the patient s condition which will impact on their ability to carry out their activities of daily living and assigned to a rehabilitation pathway, being responsible for leading and governing all aspects of the clients care depending on the pathway you have allocated them to.
Senior Occupational Therapist Requirements:
  • Active HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working within neurological, mental health or learning disability settings.
  • Full driving license.
  • A holistic and integrated approach to care.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
