My client are a large National organisation and this role supports their Crawley, West Sussex team based within their Manor Royal Head Office.
You will be a natural leader and be able to develop and lead on all things Operations, achieving weekly/monthly targets whilst maintaining a safe working environment for production teams.
This role takes the lead with HR activities for the Production/ Operations teams as well as the lead for EH&S file and procedures.
The main purpose of the role is to collaborate with the Operations teams to improve efficiency levels and implement systems to improve the working environment, whilst viewing the operation with a commercial eye , reducing costs etc.
You will report to the General Manager, looks after factory shifts , and contribute to the company management meetings and focus on Health and Safety.
Key Responsibilities
Managing a safe factory environment with respect to all aspects of Health & Safety
Materials and team resource planning
identifying and implementing training needs for the team
Booking temporary team members
Assisting the General Manager with facilities related matters
You will have the ability to lead and develop a team, and be able to understand the safe working of a productions team and the ability to resource plan effectively, Lean methodology experience would be useful .
