Premier Work Support is collaborating with a very well established payroll provider, to recruit for a permanent Payroll Clerk based close to Dartford. This is a great opportunity to join a caring business, in a key role within the organisation.
The payroll clerk is a vital employee who will keep the smooth daily running of operations within payroll and registrations. This role requires ownership of the payroll process from start to finish, alongside mentoring other members of the team.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering date into the payroll system, as well as retrieving data when necessary
- Processing weekly payroll, reviewing client billable expenses, and ensuring all figures balance
- Dealing with all aspects of statutory payments and deductions
- Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
- Processing information for external third parties, such as Child Support Agency, DWP
- and Court Orders
- Advising employees on pay queries, PAYE and NIC matters
- Ensuring all RTI submissions and Pension Contribution files are exported
- Producing and sending invoices and credit notes
- Creating and importing volume CSV spreadsheets with accurate hours and rates
- Producing reports in relation to the weekly payroll and updating payroll sheet
- Producing payment schedules for BACS payments, amending date where necessary and uploading onto the bank
Essential:
- High volume Payroll experience
- Payroll software experience
Due to the location of the business, your own transport is essential.
This is a Monday - Friday role with the hours of 9am - 5.30pm.
