Our Client is looking to hire a Plant Maintenance Controller.

Their Plant & Fleet Solutions is looking to recruit a Maintenance Controller to join their team based from their office in Castleford.

As a Maintenance Controller, you will ensure that planned maintenance events are managed in accordance with current Service Level Agreements and that the business delivers a "best in class" customer experience, whilst minimising Plant & Vehicle downtime through effective management of internal and external resources.

Their Plant & Fleet Solutions supports their frontline operations by providing compliant, innovative and fit-for-purpose Vehicles, Plant and Equipment. They currently provide a comprehensive fleet of over 8,500 trucks, vans and cars, together with over 85,000 items of general plant and specialist utilities equipment from their Regional Supply Depots.

Their Plant & Fleet Solutions is the heart of them, keeping all group business operating safely. Through are four key divisions and dedicated specialists their work allows group businesses to deliver successful results for their clients.

As a Maintenance Controller your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling of all statutory inspections, examinations, calibrations and service events, for all Plant & Vehicles, for your nominated contracts
  • Ensure that "best cost solutions" are adopted for the provision of all maintenance events
  • Contacting customers to arrange and book compliance and service events, including MOT s
  • Processing of defect reports following a scheduled event and arrange remedial repairs as required
  • Updating IT systems with information as required, including Insphire, JobWatch and Key2
  • Processing recharges in accordance with SLA s
  • Booking external repairers and raising/processing PO s for your nominated contracts.
  • Updating the SMC report weekly
  • Support the breakdown team during busy periods as required

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in similar role within the plant and fleet sector
  • Strong commitment to delivering high standards of customer service
  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines
  • Proven IT skills with experience of Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of Fleet Maintenance related software would be an advantage however full training will be provided
