Exciting and Growing specialist contractor in the Central Belt with an excellent order book of work. Looking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer to work within the Power and Distribution sector.

Vital resources have been employed by a reputable and growing contractor within the rail sector, to assist them in their search for a new Project Engineer (P&D) further strengthen their current team.

Our client is looking to appoint an experience Senior Project Engineer within the Power and Distribution division. As the Project Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Co-ordinate project activities associated for Power & Distribution including the planning of site works, resource, budget and plant (where required).
Ensure compliance with appropriate standards (International, British, Railway).
Ability to work on multiple projects balancing and managing own time.
Undertake technical reviews of internal and external (subcontracted) documentation including designs and work package plans to ensure these are buildable with a focus on safety.
Develop strategies associated with the delivery of project works including assessment of cost, risk and hazards including developing efficiencies where practicable.
Lead meetings with clients and subcontractors, developing meeting minutes and action logs as appropriate.
Undertake Site Surveys producing detailed site reports.
Monitoring of site work activities throughout the construction / commissioning and EIS stages (GRIP stages).The successful applicant for this role, will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in a similar role.
Knowledge of CDM Principles,
MS Office Skills role as a Project Engineer , preferably in Rail Power & Distribution or the Utility Industry.
Worked on Multidiscipline projects
Understanding of Risk Assessments and Risk-Based approach including CDM/CSM and HAZIDs.
Able to recognise the importance of following procedures associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
An organised and methodical approach to tasks,
The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability and willingness to travel to different locations as and when required.For this our, client is willing to offer a competitive salary and comprehensive package.
