Role Profile
QC Electrical Inspectors are responsible for providing independent Quality Control and inspection services across a range of equipment within the nuclear defence arena
The services are provided on site at client premises, and will involve inspection activity on new and existing equipment under stringent processes and procedures.
Experience
You will be an experienced Inspector, fit and able to work at height and confined spaces. As an experienced Electrical Inspector professional you will have a high level of written and verbal communication skills and be able to operate on sites with minimal supervision.
Your role will involve working in a client facing environment on sites with differing working cultures. As such you will be demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to problem solve.
- Minimum of 2 year's experience in the inspection of manufactured equipment within a highly regulated industry (Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Pharma, WTE, conventional power generation).
- Sound understanding and qualification where necessary in Inspection techniques (ATEX, Compex)
- Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry.
Qualifications
- Full Electrical Apprenticeship
- C&G 2391 or 2360 course or equivalent
- 17th/18th Edition
- Experience working in a QC inspection role
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers.
- Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction.
- Equipment ranging from bespoke equipment to COTS manufactured and installed to conventional codes, standards and regulations.
- Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, / manufacturing procedures, procedures, compilation and review of Quality records
- The role requires you to work in partnership with both the end client and the Project Management authority so experience as a client inspector will be desirable
