We are currently working with a rapidly expanding CRO based just outside Durham, they are currently looking for a Research Chemist to join their Research and Development team. They work across a range of industries including Pharmaceuticals, Fine Chemicals and Synthetic Biology meaning that no two days are ever the same, the role brings a great level of variety as the projects are ever changing.
What You ll Do:• Work within the Research and Development team to help deliver projects to clients specifications• Deliver synthetic chemistry programmes by developing, optimizing and scaling up new processes• Work with other departments across the company to deliver project results on time• Be involved with project meetings and collaborative research events• Write technical reports
Who You ll Be:• A PhD or equivalent with a focus on chemical synthesis• Prior experience working within a similar role desirable but not essential• An expansive understanding and practical experience across different synthetic methodologies• A working knowledge of practical analytical techniques• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally• The ability to build and maintain relationships and to work well within a team
