  • Up to £50 per hour PAYE
  • Initial contract until 30th June 2023
  • Fully remote based role - can be based anywhere in the UK
Working for one of the most recognisable brands in the technology world we are looking for an experienced Security Support Engineer to support their Global Enterprise Customers. The ideal candidate will have experience of Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Defender for Cloud and have at least 3-5 years experience working in a Security Support role. Your Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the customer support experience with Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues, using collaboration, troubleshooting best practices and transparency within and across teams (e.g. swarming)
  • Identify cases that require escalation (either technically or strategically)
  • Create and maintain incident management requests to product group/engineering group
  • Contribute to case deflection initiatives, automation and other digital self-help assets to improve customer/ engineer experience
  • Provide ramp activities, knowledge sharing, technical coaching and mentoring
  • Lead or participate in building communities with peer delivery roles; may be workload or specialty specific
QualificationsRequired Experience?
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a similar Security Support role
  • The ideal candidate will be required to have a Technical Degree or adequate practical experience on one of the following areas: Network Security Engineering, or consulting, and/or Systems security Administration . This should include experience with endpoint security, server security, firewalls, cloud security and threat analytics.
  • Customer facing support experience is a plus
  • Experience on Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory administration, Microsoft Defender for Identity and Microsoft Defender for Cloud
  • Enterprise?cloud?experience?with any of the major cloud providers, including cloud security, networking, and migration of multi-cloud or hybrid deployments
  • Experience supporting large and complex geographically distributed enterprise environments with 1000+ users
Experience in one or multiple of the following areas will be considered as a strong competitive advantage:
  • Linux and/or Mac administration in an enterprise environment.
  • Automation in PowerShell and/or Python, Java, or a similar language.
  • Demonstrated fast learning?skills
  • Strong collaborative and extensive cross-group coordination skills
  • Proven customer service skills supporting external and/or internal customers in an enterprise environment
  • Great phone presence and?documentation?abilities.?Excellent executive communication?and critical situations management?skills
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to translate complex technical processes into simple to follow written guides
  • Previous experience?working?in a large, complex, highly matrixed global organization preferred
  • Ability to work in a high pace environment
