We are excited to bring a new role to the interim market for an experienced Head of SEND working for a local Authority in the Berkshire Area.
Spencer Clarke Group are looking to speak to experienced SEND Leaders to fulfil and maintain a professional and responsive strategic SEND service across the local authority.
As part of the role, you will develop and lead the council s send strategy whilst managing the high needs funding block budget areas. As the Head of SEND you will ensure that all statutory services are planned, aligned and available to stakeholders.
Pay Scale - £520 - £650 per day. (Inside iR35)
Location - Remote working for the duration of the assignment.
Contract Length - 3-6 month rolling contract highly likely extended on an ongoing basis.
Start date - 1st September 2022.
Duties will include:
- Lead on the development and implementation of specific SEND initiatives, such as placement commissioning, EHCP review and delivery, cultural change, leadership and management development and other key projects agreed by the Assistant Director Education and Learning.
- To lead the delivery of specific national initiatives relating to SEND, EHCPs and improving outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs / Disability. Liaise with external bodies such as the judiciary, DfE, CCG, East Berks Foundation Trust, Parents Forum and SENDIASS. To ensure that where professional standards are in place there is statutory development to meet requirements.
- Oversee and support the SEND teams to coach and build the capability of managers to proactively drive high performance.
- To lead the council s strategic approach to SEND provision.
