This is a chartered building surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor job working with a successful independent construction & property consultancy with offices across London and the South East.
Project led, with a focus on commercial and education clients across the region, this consultancy is made up of project managers, building surveyors, cost consultants and designers.
You will be joining the Building Surveying division, supporting the Essex region to provide both technical and project services to a range of clients across both public and private sectors.
As a Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor you will be responsible for the following services:
Project management & contract administration
Dilapidations, pre-acquisition technical due diligence and building surveys
party wall and neighbourly matters
Reinstatement cost assessments
Planned maintenance reports
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will receive a competitive salary in line with your skills and what the current market dictates, along with an annual performance based bonus, which could see you earning £80,000 as a total financial package, with a £65,000 salary on offer.

As a Senior Building Surveyor you will receive 25 days of annual leave along with the standard 8 days of bank holiday each year. The company also provides a pension plan with a 5% employer contribution and 3% employee input. This can be matched at 5% through a salary sacrifice.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to be a Building Surveyor with a degree level qualification in either Building Surveying or an equivalent subject.
You will need to be a full member of the RICS and chartered through the Building Surveying pathway - or within 6 months of sitting your APC.
You will have skills in both project focused building surveying (contract administration, specification writing and project management) as well as technical building surveying and strong building pathology knowledge.
You will need access to be a vehicle and be within a reasonably commutable distance from Chelmsford for office visits.
