The Senior Payroll Specialist at ClearCourse has the critical responsibility for the monthly payroll process for approximately 900 employees in a fast paced, expanding group.In this role you will demonstrate operational excellence and payroll best practice by becoming a trusted partner and delivering standardised payroll practices and processes to the Partnership.You will thrive on solving complex payroll issues, implementing innovative solutions to real problems, and will have the natural ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.As ClearCourse is partnership of innovative technology companies, a sense of urgency and the ability to operate and adapt to change in a fast-paced technology environment is essential.
The Senior Payroll Specialist would join our team on a part-time basis working 20 hours per week. That could be 10-2pm each day / with the flexibility on working hours.
We are very flexible in terms of where you're based in the UK as long as you're able to commute to our office few times a week. We have offices in Preston, Bristol, Manchester and London.
Key responsibilities:? Process the monthly payroll which includes but is not limited to amendments for joiners and leavers, overtime, variable pay, sick pay, holiday pay, pension, maternity pay, paternity pay across your designated business area;? Liaise with the payroll service provider(s) and other partners (i.e. pensions) where appropriate to ensure the accuracy of the payroll;? Act as the knowledgeable point of contact for all payroll related queries in your business area responding to email, telephone calls and other correspondence in a timely manner;? Produce all statutory forms e.g. P60s, P11ds etc;? Collate monthly payroll submissions across the Group;5+ years of payroll experience;• Had experience of implementing payroll solutions and worked in a professionalemployer environment;• Previous experience of harmonising and streamlining payroll providers is desirable;• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with employees at all levels;• Strong organisational skills and exemplary attention to detail;• Excellent analytical, quantitative and investigative skills;• Must be self-motivated and able to work under own autonomy or as part of a team;• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills;• Advanced level in MS packages including Word, Excel and Outlook• Ideally worked in a high growth organisation and understands the challengesassociated with this;
