Description: Candidates are desired to bring experiences in Missile Defense including Sensors and Sensor Networks, Communications, Fire Control, and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) test environments.

The candidate should have at least three years experience and proven performance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution, requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing. Proven ability to take responsibility for significant tasks, complete them on schedule and document and present the results.

Proven knowledge and experience applying design patterns and object oriented programming.

Experience with C++ and/or Java

Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, MariaDB, or MySQL.

Proficiency in most of the following specific areas: XML, Microservices Architectures, Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), YAML, as well as knowledge of distributed computer architectures.

Ability and willingness to thoroughly document work for peer reviews and to prepare and present design disclosure and status review data to peers and immediate manager

Effective written and verbal communications skills with an ability to function in a team environment, work cooperatively with peers, and take direction from seniors engineers.

Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve problems

Requires a Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one in a minimal time frame.


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.

At least three years experience and proven performance in software engineering.

Proven proficiency in either C++ and/or Java programming language

Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully apply them in completing projects in a timely manner.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work well in a team environment.

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Desired Skills:

Proven Proficiency developing microservices and the strangler pattern

Experience with Virtual Machines

Experience with Cloud Platform providers (Amazon Web Services, Azure)

Experience with Containerization and Orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)

Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery

Experience with JSON, JQuery, REACT, YAML

Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence) or Gitlab

Experience with Static Code analysis tools such as Coverity or Fortify

Experience with secure coding

Scrum Master and/or Product Owner certification a plus

Experience with Automation Frameworks such as Robot, Junit, Sikuli

Experience with DevOps Technologies

Experience with IDEs such as Eclipse or NetBeans

Experience with development in Linux and/or Windows

Experience with Agile Software Development

Experience with UML
