You will perform as a Staff Controls Engineer within the Design and Engineering division at the Disneyland Resort.

You will report to Manager- Show Control, Audio/Video, and Resort wide Systems.

Responsibilities/You Will:

  • Design, test, document and sustain hardware and software control systems to support Show and Resort wide Systems at the Disneyland Resort and other Disney parks

  • Participate in project estimating, scheduling, planning and training

  • Work with the lines of business to ensure attraction reliability and safety

Basic Qualification/You Will Have:

  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience

  • Advanced experience with software and computer systems

  • Comfort level learning new systems

  • Knowledge of electronic principles, specifically DC power systems

  • Background in troubleshooting electronic components and computer-based systems at the hardware, software and system level

  • Knowledge and prior use of necessary field tools: oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer

  • Well-versed in completing the controls project life-cycle: requirements definition, design, procurement/fabrication, installation, acceptance test, document, and provide training

  • Willingness to work extended/off-hours when needed to support project or Resort engineering issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional engineering experience in the field of automation or control systems

  • Experience with theme park or industrial control systems with man-machine interface

  • Experience with Beckhoff Automation technology, including EtherCAT

  • Experience with Tait Navigator control systems

  • Experience with Programmable logic controllers and ladder logic programming

  • Working knowledge of networking principles

  • Experience with high order programming languages

  • AUTOCAD skills, able to read schematic and assembly drawings

Required Education:

Bachelor of Science degree, ABET accredited, in engineering or other

appropriate discipline

Preferred Education:

Bachelors of Science Electrical Engineering

Master of Science Electrical Engineering

Licensed Professional Engineer
