Team Leader / Manager
UK Roofing and Plastic Supplies Ltd are an independent, growing family run roofing merchant trading since 1977. We are looking for a new team leader to work within our branch in Reading.
You will focus on sales growth and customer service. You will also look to improve on current systems and processes whilst getting involved where necessary and leading by example.
We are looking for dynamic self motivated people who work well within a team environment.
Experience working in Roofing or Merchants would be an advantage although not essential.
There is great career progression within this fast growing company.
Responsibilities
Overall responsibility for branch including sales, stock and staff management
- Motivate and lead the branch team
Work pro-actively to increase sales and maintain margin
Take calls, orders and lead by example
Staff training and appraisals
Stock control
Oversee preparation and planning of bi-annual stock takes
Oversee trade counter customer service
Oversee customer and supplier returns
Health and Safety
Overseeing customer deliveries
Open and close the branch each day
Experience
Strong work ethic and initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Previous sales experience essential
- Previous experience in roofing or merchants an advantage
Successful applicants will need to have a full UK driving licence.
Hours:
Mon-Fri: 6.30-16:00
Sat: 7:00-11:00
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Circa £30-38k (Plus performance bonus) (Can be negotiated up for the right person ie/. Someone from the industry)
