Our client are a well known, established manufacturing business currently looking to recruit a Technical Sales & Customer Service Advisor to join their team.

Overall Purpose:

  • To provide outstanding excellent customer service to an existing customer base.
  • To understand and further develop customer accounts and act upon lead generation.

Key Duties:

  • Following up quotations.
  • Follow-up calls after first order.
  • Negotiating prices and lead time.
  • Supporting web-based customers.
  • Contacting customers who abandon their online shopping cart.
  • Making outbound calls to lapsed accounts.
  • Contact potential identified leads.
  • Setting up quotations.
  • Gain an understanding of the products and processes across product catalogue.
  • Provide support and advice technically to influence production output.
  • Ensure knowledge capture between customer and operation in relation to specification and tolerance.
  • Take control in resolving technical queries for internal sales and operational teams.
  • Administrative ownership of sales records, and influence to work instructions and procedures.
  • Work with internal and external bodies.
  • Build customer credibility by accuracy and efficiency, gain market share by working closely with the sales team on coordinated activities, and ensuring good detailed forecasting.
  • Bring the CRM system up to date, after every call update a relevant e mail address, contact person contact number and notes in the crm call log of the conversation.
  • Follow up calls from Mail shots sent to the customer base.
  • Implement price increases.
  • Process enquiries via email, telephone or live chat.
  • Prepare quotations.
  • General customer services functions i.e. chase deliveries, POD's, samples and anything else needed by our customers.
  • Liaise with production to ensure sales are manufactured to brief and standards outlined.
  • Works as part of the UK Sales team in a supportive, collaborative approach and any other duties appropriate to the position, as necessary or requested by the Senior Leadership Team.

Role Requirements & Experience Required:

  • Target driven.
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to generate customer relationships.
  • Negotiation techniques.
  • Confident.
  • (Desirable) background in technical/ engineering discipline, or equivalent vocational training in a relevant industrial environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate original thinking and an innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

The Package:

  • £23,000 - £25,500 per annum starting salary depending on experience.
