Escape Recruitment is working with a global organisation who are based in South Lanarkshire to recruit a Tooling Engineer who will be responsible for the development, commissioning and validation activities for injection mould tooling, as well as having a focus on tooling project management and budget control.

Ensuring that all moulds are delivered to manufacturing such that they produce robust solutions at target quality, cost & capacity in line with business timing commitments
Ensuring alignment with Sales team so that all information, timing and budgets are aligned before accepting handover from sales
Supporting Process and Quality Engineers through trialling stages and co-ordinating tooling development with Suppliers and Customers
Focus on tooling project management and budget control ensuring on time and cost-effective implementation for new tooling and modifications Producing RFQ documentation for issue to supply base for quotation
Tool design review and approval for manufacture
Supplier management and audit and procedural compliance and liaise with Quality department
To be successful you will need:
Experience in tool design review, tooling development and project management
A toolmaking background advantageous
Ability to interrogate CAD and drawings and understand specifications and requirements
Knowledge in GD&T and capability requirements advantageous
Ability to use Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project
Experience in managing relationship with suppliers
