Job Title: Train Cleaner - Day Shift at Hornsey Train Maintenance Depot
Contract Length: 6 Month Initial Contract (Temp - Perm)
Interviews/Start Date: Immediate after completing a drug & alcohol test and right to work checks.
We have a new opening available to join a leading train operating company as a Train Cleaner, performing a range of interior & exterior cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are meeting the required cleanliness standards for passenger service.
Ganymede Solutions are currently working with a recognised leader in the railway sector who has operations across three rail franchises within the UK and has an ever-growing presence within the industry.
We are seeking diligent, physical, and active individuals who have a background in Industrial Cleaning, Manual Labour or similar experience which requires you to be active, on your feet and using your physical capabilities on a daily basis etc to join a leading train operating company as a Train Cleaner on their day shift operation at Hornsey Train Maintenance Depot to perform a range of interior & exterior cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are clean & presentable for passenger service the next morning.
As a Train Cleaner, you shall be tasked with cleaning the interiors & exteriors of the trains to ensure the train is signed off as clean, presentable, and ready for passenger service. This role will see you use specialist cleaning equipment & chemicals where the trains are stationed in an outdoor area, with on-the-job training provided.
This role has the potential to lead to a permanent position in the future, with opportunities to progress as a Team Leader, Duty Leader and more within the train presentation area of the business. However, with the organisation experiencing huge growth plans, there are also opportunities to progress within engineering, customer service and other key areas of the business.
A highly desired & skilled role requires you to be physically fit, have a positive attitude with effective communication skills, a strong work ethic, reliability & flexibility to work weekdays, one full weekend, 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday as part of a 4-week roster plan, overtime is available at managements discretion (working hours are 9am - 4pm)
Rates of Pay
Standard Hours (35 hours standard per week) - £11.23 p/h
Overtime - £16.73 p/h
Sunday Nights - £19.52 p/h
