Vaccine Nurse
What will they do?
Administer vaccines including BCG, Hep B, MMR, Varicella and take bloods in a clinic setting.
• Provide safe administration and delivery of the vaccination across a variety of settings - including hospital and community settings - in accordance with professional accountability and local/national standards and guidelines.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, for example anaphylaxis, by initiating basic life support.
• Ensure emergency procedures are executed and reported in accordance with national and local policy.
• Report adverse drug reactions through the MRHA system.
• Comply with mandatory training requirements and maintain training records.
• Oversee the day-to-day co-ordination of the campaign - being the go-to person for information and advice.
Role requirements:
• Qualified Nurse (RGN)
• Registered with the NMC and valid live pin
• Significant experience as a nurse
• Efficient and professional
